In the bustling neighborhood of the Upper East Side, behind the friendly smiles and fresh bagels, brave workers like Mahoma López face sub-legal wages, dangerous conditions, and abusive managers. When Mahoma convinces his coworkers to stand up for their rights, they embark on an journey with the risk deportation and job loss to form their own independent labor union.

This story of resilience, solidarity, and hope unfolds through a roller-coaster year of betrayal, protests, and legal battles. It’s a testament to the power of collective action and the fight for fair labor practices. With everything going on in the U.S. right now, this film couldn’t be more relevant.
