The Housing Guide is a free publication of the Groningen Student’s Union. Everything in the Housing Guide is meant to inform students about their housing rights and responsibilities. You can not only find tips and tricks to find a decent room to live in, but you get know how Dutch rental law works, your rights and duties as a tenant and where you can look for help and advice as well. The Guides are distributed at events like the KEI-week and ESN-week and are to be found all over the buildings of the University of Groningen and the Hanze University of Applied Sciences. The office of the GSb has dozens of them in stock too, so you can always come by to collect one! It is permitted to use and copy the content of the Housing Guide for non-commercial goals, when references are used correctly. The Housing guide is revised annually by the board of the GSb.

IMPORTANT! Have you not found accomodation for your studies in Groningen by the 1st of August? Then do not come to the city, the chances of you ending up homeless are unfortunately very high due to the housing crisis. We get that it is very difficult but we honestly recommend you to not come to Groningen if this is the case.
